Also known as 3-way pipe fittings, tee fittings resemble the alphabet 'T,' wherein two horizontal pipes and one vertical pipe can be attached to manage the direction and mixture of fluids. Pipe Tees are widely used in piping systems to transport two-phase fluid mixtures and are mainly of two types – Equal Tee and Unequal Tee (Reducing Tee). When the branch's size is the same as header pipes, an equal tee is used, and when the branch size is less than that of header size, a reduced tee is used. The three sizes of a tee are End x End x Center. So if you want a tee that is 1″ on both ends and 3/4″in the center, it would be 1″ x 1″ x 3/4″. Also known as 90° bends, 90° elbows are manufactured as SR (Short Radius) elbows and LR (Long Radius) elbows. 45° elbows are typically made as LR (Long Radius) elbows. SMA is a leading Supplier of short radius and long radius elbows. The long radius elbows have a center to end distance that is 1.5 times the NPS in inches (R=1.5D), while the short radius is equal to the NPS in inches (R=1.0D). Short radius elbows are generally used in tight areas, and long radius elbows are used when space is available, and flow is more critical. We can also manufacture and supply carbon steel elbows and stainless steel elbows in non-standard size angles such as 60°, 100°, 120°, or 150°. The ends may be machined for butt welding, threaded (usually female), socketed, etc. When the two ends differ in size, the fitting is called a reducing elbow or reducer elbow.Depending on our customer requirements, we can manufacture and offer straight tees and reducing tees in various grades, including 202, 304/304L, 904L, 316/316L, Duplex 2205, Alloy 20, Cupro Nickel, Monel Alloy 400, Inconel Alloy 625, Inconel Alloy 600, Hastelloy Alloy C276, and also in various Aluminium Grades.
